Role summary
The Service Dispatcher is the hub between customers and field technicians, ensuring timely responses, efficient routing, and clear communication throughout the service experience.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound service calls and capture accurate job details
- Schedule and dispatch technicians based on skills, location, and priority
- Provide customers with arrival windows and proactive status updates
- Monitor job progress and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays
- Coordinate parts, permits, or callbacks with the operations team
- Maintain clean records in the CRM and dispatch platform
Requirements
- 1–3 years of dispatch, call center, or customer coordination experience
- Excellent phone etiquette and written communication skills
- Comfort learning scheduling software and mobile workforce tools
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to have
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other trades businesses
- Bilingual customer support skills
- Familiarity with membership or maintenance plan programs
