Cookie Policy

What cookies Plural uses across our website, application, and careers portals (including custom domains), and how you can control them.

Updated May 17, 2026

Last updated: May 17, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Plural uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing website, in our hiring software, and on careers portals that organizations run on Plural, whether served at pluralcareers.com or on a custom domain that the organization has connected to Plural.

This policy applies to:

  • Visitors who browse our website or a public careers portal,
  • Customers (organizations and their team members) who use the Plural application to run hiring, and
  • Applicants who apply for jobs through a careers portal hosted on pluralcareers.com or on a custom domain.

It applies the same way regardless of which domain you use to reach the service. By using the service, you agree to the use of cookies as described below. For more on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site recognize your device and store information about your preferences or past actions. We also use related technologies, such as local storage, pixels, and beacons, that work in similar ways. We refer to all of them as “cookies” in this policy.

Cookies can be:

  • Session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
  • First-party cookies, set by Plural, or third-party cookies, set by service providers we use.

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential cookies. Required for the service to work. They support core features such as authentication, session management, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, and remembering your cookie preferences. The service will not function properly without these cookies.

  • Functionality cookies. Allow the service to remember choices you make, such as your language, theme, or other preferences, so we can provide a more personal experience.

  • Analytics cookies. Help us understand how Visitors, Customers, and Applicants interact with the service so we can measure performance, debug issues, and improve features. Where required by law, we set these cookies only with your consent.

  • Marketing cookies. Used on our marketing website to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and, where applicable, to show relevant content. Where required by law, we set these cookies only with your consent. We do not use marketing cookies on application surfaces (such as the signed-in Plural application or the application form on a careers portal) for cross-site advertising.

Cookies on Custom Domains

When a Customer connects a custom domain to serve their careers portal through Plural, we still operate the underlying service. The cookies we set on that custom domain serve the same purposes described above (for example, keeping the application form working, preventing abuse, and measuring performance). Customers may also configure their own analytics or marketing tools on their careers portal; any cookies set by those tools are governed by the Customer’s own policies.

Managing Cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings. Most browsers allow you to accept or reject cookies, delete existing cookies, or get notified when a cookie is set. Blocking essential cookies will prevent parts of the service from working.
  • Cookie banner or preference center. Where we are required by law to obtain consent for non-essential cookies, you can update your choices through any cookie banner or preference center we provide on the service.
  • Device settings. On mobile devices, you can adjust tracking and advertising identifiers in your device settings.
  • Opt-out tools. For some third-party analytics or advertising cookies, you can use industry opt-out tools provided by the relevant vendor or industry association.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice through the service.
