Role summary
The HVAC Technician delivers reliable heating and cooling service through expert installation, repair, and maintenance while providing clear communication and professional customer care.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Perform installations, startups, and preventive maintenance per manufacturer specs
- Explain findings, options, and pricing to customers in plain language
- Maintain accurate work orders, photos, and parts usage in the field app
- Follow safety procedures and company quality standards on every job
- Keep service vehicle stocked, organized, and inspection-ready
Requirements
- 2+ years of HVAC service or installation experience
- EPA Section 608 certification
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
Nice to have
- NATE certification or manufacturer-specific training
- Experience with heat pumps, mini-splits, or commercial RTUs
- Basic sales skills for maintenance plan enrollment
