Custom domains
Connect a hostname so candidates can open your careers site at your own address.
A custom domain lets candidates open your careers site at an address you own, such as careers.example.com.
Custom domain appears in Settings when that feature is on for the organization. If you do not see it, your plan does not include a custom domain, or an administrator has not enabled it.
Before you start
- You must be signed in.
- These plans include this feature: Hire, Hire + Retain, and Enterprise.
- These roles can connect a custom domain: Owner, Administrator, Hiring Manager, and Office Administrator.
- You need a hostname you control, and access to DNS at your domain provider.
- Open Hire, then open Careers Page. See Opening the Careers Page.
Open Custom domain
- Select Settings.
- Select Custom domain.

The heading is Use your own web address. The description is Give candidates a familiar link like careers.yourcompany.com.
You can still use the Plural careers URL after you add a custom domain.
Connect a hostname
- Select Set up a custom domain.
- Enter the hostname, such as
careers.example.com. - Select Connect this address.
- Add the DNS records at your domain provider. The wizard shows the records to add.
- Select I’ve added this record.
- Wait while Plural creates the secure connection.
Status labels include Requested, Awaiting your DNS, Provisioning, Deploying, Live, and Failed.
When the status is Live, candidates can reach the careers site at that address.
After the domain is live
Select Open page to confirm the custom address.
If setup fails, you can continue setup or start over from the same page.
After you finish
The custom hostname is connected. Share that address on your website and job posts.
